New Year, New Fragrance

The one thing that keeps us trying new makeup is our search for the Holy Grail products - those few items that are the best of the bunch and that we don’t want to ever be without. But with fragrances, it’s more about finding your signature scent - that one scent that you want to be recognized by. The beauty about scents, though, is that they’re different on everyone. Each scent adapts itself to the person who’s wearing it which really makes every person’s smell unique.

If you’re familiar with my own blog, you’ll know that I like to buy a new fragrance on my birthday and wear that scent the year round. That’s not to say that I don’t change it up every now and then, but I remember scents by the years that I bought them. Lately though, I’ve been toying with the idea of buying a new scent in the New Year instead. There’s something about having a brand new bottle of some sweet-smelling liquid all yours to use.

So: this new year, when you invest in new brushes, a new foundation, new mascara, or a new makeup bag, consider also getting yourself a new fragrance and buy something you love. Get a bottle of a scent that you’ve always wanted or admired and let it be yours for the whole year. Have your own signature scent.
